What's On - Island Events & Festivals on Jura
Jura’s calendar bursts with events that showcase our community spirit and island heritage. From January’s traditional Burns Supper to the legendary Jura Fell Race in May (where runners tackle our mighty Paps!), there’s always something happening. Summer brings the excitement of the iconic Jura Sports Day, and the splendid Jura Regatta.
Food, drink and music fills the air during Feis Ile week and reaches its peak at the Jura Music Festival in September, where traditional Scottish music echoes across our shores.
Our community shows its creative side at the Great Jura Bake Off, while seasonal celebrations include Easter egg hunts, spooky Halloween gatherings, spectacular Bonfire Night celebrations, and our charming Christmas Fair – perfect for unique island gifts.

The Jura Dog Show is back! Please join us on the Hotel Field, 2pm, this Sunday with your pooch.
We can’t guarantee sunshine but it will be a lot of fun and more importantly it will hopefully raise much needed funds for the Small Isles Parent Council.
There will be coffee and cake, lots of dog based madness and rosettes ( bring a mug if you can )
Jura Craft Fair in the village hall every Wednesday 12pm-4pm. Local makers and producers selling their wares in the hall, tea coffee and cake served.

Three full days of music, dance and performance. Jura’s music festival is in its 31st year.

Events include open water swimming, rowing, kayaking, sailing and a raft race.

Ardlussa Sports and Dance
This annual sports event is great fun for all of the family and raises money for local charities. Set in the beautiful gardens of Ardlussa Estate in the north end of the island, everyone is welcome to join in and / or watch.
Events include sack race, potatoe and spoon race, three legged race, egg throwing, hammer throwing, barrel rolling, running, family races and the all important north v south Jura tug of war!
Charity ceilidh in the village hall in the evening if you have any energy left.
