8-9 Orwell 1984 Exhibition

Exhibition of 1,984 copies of George Orwell’s famous novel ‘1984’ in the Village Hall.

July 2024

27 July – Ardlussa Sports

This annual sports event is great fun for all of the family and raises money for local charities. Events include tug of war, hammer throwing, barrel rolling and family races.

August 2024 

02 August – Jura Regatta

Events include open water swimming, rowing, kayaking, sailing and a raft race.

September 2024

27-29 September – Jura Music Festival

Seated Yoga Classes

Have you been keen to participate in physical Yoga but not quite so confident in

moving at pace? Or perhaps you’re looking to focus on mindfulness, breathing and relaxation?

Seated Yoga is for anyone and everyone. A slow-paced and calm approach to Yoga exercises giving all participants an opportunity to move gently, relax and engage in simple and modified seated Yoga. No experience necessary.

Dates and Times:

  • Thursday 9th May 2024 11am
  • Wednesday 22nd May 11am (followed by Soup and Sandwich)
  • Thursday 6th June 11am

Venue: Jura Care Centre

Costs: FREE!!! Any donations gratefully received.

Equipment: No equipment necessary – please just wear comfortable clothing.

Women’s Health Group

With support from local professionals and volunteers, as well as input from external experts a monthly Women’s Health Group is due to begin in May.
