Thank you to everyone who ca

Jura’s 10th Christmas Fair

me along to support our 10th Jura Christmas Fair! It was a fantastic day and many a mulled wine and mince pie was enjoyed. A big thank you to all our stallholders, those who travelled from Islay, all who donated raffle prizes and Sheena and Liz for their wonderful cafe and baking – raising £200 for Mary’s Meals.

Thank you to Gemma for baking a beautiful Christmas cake for ‘Guess the Weight’. It weighed 9lb 7oz and was won by Kate Johnson with a very close 9lb 5oz!

Thanks to the hall commitiee for their support and to Keith and Kirsty for their help on the day. The continued support from the Jura Community Council. And Daniel for his help decorating the hall.

Thank you also to Noel, Ross, Nicol and Joseph for putting up our festive street lights and Martin, Neil and helpers for our fantastic village Christmas tree, courtesy of Ardfin Estate.

What a wonderful community we have, we couldn’t do it without your help!

We received some fantastic donations this year -from the Jura Hotel’s bingo night, Adam and Charlie Cox, and the Jura Development Trust. Thank you so much. We rely solely on donations to allow us to run the fair each year and light up the village with festive lights and our Christmas tree.
We are aiming to fundraise next year to allow us to upgrade our lights. All donations are gratefully received.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas!
