Jura Roundtrip Video

April 26, 2009 by Ron 3 Comments

I found a nice video on youtube from a group of friends circumnavigating the Isle of Jura. The video contains moving images, beautiful pictures and great music. Worth having a look at!

Nice video, Ron. Although I must confess I don’t recognise all the locations – does anyone else? I think there are some shots around Loch Tarbert near the end, but where is that bothy? It’s not Glengarrisdale, and it doesn’t look much like Ruantallain to me either.

Hi Dave, I must confess I don’t recognise all the locations either but then again I haven’t made a roundtrip of Jura (yet). It’s high on my wish list though.

I did sail the south-west, south and south-east of Jura in a speed boat and it was simply magic. Let’s hope someone comes up with a good answer about some of the locations in the video and if not we can contact the owner at http://www.youtube.com/user/yrag1958 ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Ron. On looking closer, I’m pretty sure that is in fact Ruantallain bothy, at the mouth of Loch Tarbert (north shore).
