Jura Village Hall was packed full of islanders, visitors and incredible smells on Sunday at the return of the annual Jura Bake Off! 

Categories included Best Scone, Best Tray Bake, Best Sponge, Best Savoury and the all important Best Showstopper.  There were two age groups Adults and Under 14’s and there were over 40 entries.

Anyone could enter any category, and the judges were all of us!  A donation got you 5 stickers and access to all the baking.  If you liked something you put a sticker on it, simple!  At the end the ones with the most stickers were hailed winners at the prize giving!

I will be adding the full list of winners here,  but in the meantime here are Aila McCallum and Alba Davidson with their entry ‘Tortoise Garden’ which won the Under 14 Show Stopper Category!  Well done girls!
