Views of Small Isles Bay Jura

September 15, 2012 by Ron 2 Comments

Every time we visit jura, and that's a lot of times in the last ten years, we visit the beach at the airstrip where we enjoy the views of the Small Isles Bay and enjoy the peace and quiet on this part of the island. You can reach this tranquill beach when you turn right at the three arches bridge outside Craighouse and turn right again after a few hundred metres. The launch of this very special Jura Paps edition will take place during the Islay Whisky Festival which includes the Jura Distillery as well. At the moment of writing I have no specific details but I guess the launch will most likely … [Read more...] about Jura Distillery Launch: Jura Paps Single Malt collection

Jura Travel Report

August 18, 2008 by Ron Leave a Comment

I found an interesting travel report today from the Moray Mountaineering Club who made a trip to Jura in an attempt to climb the Paps. There are a few nice pictures in the article and there is a link to more pictures on Flickr. About the journey they write: "On this occasion many people chose the new small boat (12 seater) service from the picturesque harbour at Tayvallich, to … [Read more...] about Jura Travel Report
